BlackWidow V4 Pro

A really good keyboard, I use it for office work.I really like the custom key coloring option. I have a different color for different key types, e.g. a color for numbers, letters, function keys, etc. I also have the G and H keys a different color so I can quickly see if my hands are in the proper typing position. I have it set to when I press a button, the button turns white and then fades back to the original color (reactive setting). Not as exciting as many of the other cool effects, but very functional.I suggest the "green" mechanical key option, they are noisier but the take a little more pressure to type. This is actually a good thing, as your fingers can rest on the keys without pressing it. This is a well documenting ergonomic issue with keyboards that are not mechanical, your hands are always tense to prevent accidental key pressing.

My Razer Blackwidow Elite crapped out on me after 2½ years.I decided to replace it with this keyboard. So far I really like it.It doesn't have as large of a footprint as the Elite and there us only one cable instead of three. I particularly like the volume control in the upper right hand corner.Since I already had Razer Synapse loaded up with my Chroma settings just a little light tweaking is all I had to do.The keyboard has a nice, crisp mechanical feel to it.One person found this helpful

This keyboard is nice and wide. I mean, REALLY wide. It's about 18.5 inches wide and seems like it has full-sized keys to boot. It's about 6 inches deep w/o the wrist rest and 9 inches with the wrist rest. Speaking of the wrist rest, it is quite comfortable. As in, you could be typing for hours and not experience any wrist pains! Oh, the lighting underneath the wrist pad is just neat and works well.The keyboard has 2 USB-C ports and a standard USB port on the back.There are a ton of functions available for Windows users but I'm a Linux user so I can't comment on the Razor software. I do recall custom lighting schemes, reprogramming the function keys, and firmware updates but there might be more.For Linux users, we can adjust lighting schemes using various keyboard combos. CTRL-FN-1 through 6 allows Linux users to cycle through built-in lighting schemes.This keyboard comes with decent length cables too. If your PC sits on the floor, you should have plenty of length to reach it from your desk.One note - There are buttons along the left side of the keyboard that are easily bumped. They have pre-assigned functions for Windows users. One, I think, is a Task View. They are programmable if you use Windows.Finally, there appear to be media player controls along the right top of the keyboard. I think they hook into Windows Media Player and/or other media players to skip ahead, play next video, etc. There is also a rolling wheel to control volume on Windows PCs. Again, I can't comment since I'm a Linux person.All in all, it's a hefty keyboard worth the price of admission. I've thrown 10-12-14hr sessions at it and this keyboard keeps on running. I ordered it with the green switches originally because I simply prefer the green colour over yellow and didn't think anything about it.But I had to return it because the additional clicking sound for each key pressed, was so annoying I couldn't stand it. I now have have the yellow switches version and its gorgeous and perfect.GREEN SWITCHES: When you press them, they have a VERY audible click sound (in addition to the mechanical keyboard sounds you expect). Supposedly, green switches mimic old school typewriters and unless you know what you are getting into, go for yellow switches.YELLOW SWITCHES: The default keyboard switches and behave like what you expect. PHENOMINAL keyboard. great silent linear switch and the sound and doesn't make your ears bleed after hours of use. keyboard looks plain enough without the lights on to be used at the office. Don't agonize over the purchase. Yes its expensive for a keyboard. but for the money its a solid purchase and I'm completely satisfied. it feels well build and love the fact it can be upgraded in the future. top plate aluminum bottom plastic. just get it .

I've got a large collection of NMB keyboards with black space invaders switches from the 80s and 90s, not as much a collection as a pile of backups. The RT8255 and the RT8251. I've been looking for a modern replacement for them just in case I never find another one --- and I finally found one that works for me. In fact, it works great. The Blackwidow v4 with green switches. LOVE IT!!

3 razer keyboards at my place. All work great but need to update software all the time. Usually updates automatically but not always this particularly keyboard has yellow switches so it's quiet and only 1 USB connector instead of 2 like the other keyboards in my place.

So i've been using mechanical keyboards for about 12 years now and every single one of them has been mechanical. The following items are why i like this keyboard.1. The dual cables which one is used as a USB passthrough are long enough that i can move the keyboard to my lap if i need to. I have a bad shoulder so this is a nice function.2. the wrist rest is magnetic so even when using it on my lap i still can use it pretty well. This is important for me as when my shoulder acts up it's useful.3. the click sound that many of us computer nerds enjoy is just the right volume and enhances to function of the keyboard4. Razer synapse is kind of m'eh and the side buttons do sometimes trigger when i pick it up by the side cause they are so close to the top but nothing that really bothers me to any major extent. But overall it's got good options and easy to customize. I even use it for work because opening some functions is just a pain.5. I have only had 1 razer keyboard last a short time for me. It died due to large amount of fluid falling onto it. As of right now i use this keyboard for my desk. My 5 year old keyboard is being used by my partner as if it was brand new and i have a 2 year old keyboard at my office all of which are functioning perfectly.

The media could not be loaded. I really like these keyboard, I utilize the macro keys often, and the three side buttons, and the dials, and the media buttons, I use it all. I make music and edit videos, and code, so they come in handy for ME. That being said, if you don't think you would use all of those, get another keyboard lol. It is expensive! But it feels worth it to me, I get a ton of buttons, amazing chroma (the lighting features are great) and I like the way it feels. That being said, here are my cons.Some letters like P or O have trouble with the light going all the way through, so you get this dark line in between. If you are a perfectionist this will get you. It doesn't bother me, but you are paying a lot of money for this thing.The space bar...doesn't sound as good as the rest of the keys. Somethings off about it, it doesn't feel as good ether...not sure what happened there lol.That's it. For the pros,The magnetic rest is PERFECT. My old one would slide around, this does NOT and its so easy to out on and has chroma? So cool, and very comfy.Buttons everywhereeeeee, so many short cut buttons, easy to customize (some people don't like synapses, idk why I love it.Keys feel good, sound good, and look good.17 people found this helpful

Now, if you're not into wired keyboards this may not be the product for you. I prefer a wired keyboard so I was excited when the v4 pro was released.The linear razer yellow switches feel great, and I don't end up with an angry fiance or baby by the end of my work day lol. While there is still clanking when I accidently bottom out the key. It's still a very pleasant typing experience.During work, having the volume control and command dial at my disposal has been a God send. No more trying to get to my task bar just to make adjustments. I have been unable to get too much gaming in (mainly too lazy to switch my laptops after work), but the little bit of gaming I have done; I feel the immediate impact.Overall, I am happy with this purchase. Just wish they had an orange switch option. While I don't miss the sound, I do miss the bump with each keystroke.2 people found this helpful

While this is one of the nicest keyboards I've had the pleasurer to type on it does have some simple flaws that can be addressed by the manufacturer. Reviewed Version had the Razer yellow switches as I prefer the linear switches for the quiet typing.CONS:The first simple thing is the media keys. You can not tell what each one does at a glance as the embossed characters are next to impossible to see especially when the back lighting is used. (to the manufacturer) Paint them white for the users to see. You need to memorize what they do to use them. Not an issue once you memorize what they do but a visual que helps tremendously.The next fixable flaw is the price. While I do enjoy gaming and typing on the is keyboard it is not worth the premium price tag for a corded keyboard. $230+ USD is just not justified for this board even with its options. Wait till the price drops before purchasing.Next the major flaw I found is the side macro keys. On the left side of the board are 3 macro keys that every time you try to move the keyboard you press them. There is no simple fix for this but I just disabled them in Synapse 3 so as I don't seem to use them anyways.PRO's:This board is one of the most well rounded boards I have every seen. It both games well with its quick actuating keys and productivity options allow you to use this board in almost any scenario.The keys actuate quicker than Cherry MX reds (what my last keyboard had) giving you a leg up in games and for those that are quick typists the need to press the key all the way is unnecessary, a help but also a hinderance if you have fat fingers. I don't have fat fingers so it is a pleasure to type on.The reason I never purchased a Razer keyboard before now is that the cases were made of plastic allowing them to flex where as this board has an aluminum case giving it the required rigidity that I expect from a premium keyboard.I am truly enjoying the plush wrist rest that comes with this board. Every other board that I have had has had a plastic wrist rest until this one. I can honestly say this is a big deal compared with other boards I have used. What more can I say on this other than you really need to try it out if you can find one on display some where. You will love the plush wrist rest.If you already have other Razer products having Razer Synapse 3 is no big deal and you are used to how to work the program but for those wishing to keep extra programs off there PC this is not the keyboard for you. For those that don't mind this program is needed to disable, change or edit macro keys. Synapse does use a bit of system resources so be warned. I personally have the Kraken Ultimate head set, Tartarus Pro gaming pad, Viper Ultimate mouse, Fire fly V2 mouse pad and now the BlackWidow V4 Pro so running the Synapse 3 program is necessary for lighting controls.A feature I find cool is that if you do not need a USB passthrough in the keyboard you can use only one cord to the keyboard limiting the amount of wire clutter that PC's create. Of course on the other hand is if you use that feature there are two cords not bundled together adding to the clutter.Over All Thoughts:Excellent keyboard but overpriced.Good for both productivity and gaming.Comfortable to use with quick response.Has some flaws but there are work arounds.Needs Synapse 3 installed to use most features.Best lighting of all of Razers keyboard options.17 people found this helpful

Took a leap of faith with this one cause my new setup is Razer themed and I really wanted macros on the side.The wrist rest is a straight luxury; don't even think I can buy another keyboard without it.This keyboard is a must buy if you're a gamer, even more so if you're a digital artist. You can program the macros and dial to fit your needs (like changing your brush sizes with the dial for example)Should you spend over $300 CAD on a keyboard? No, you don't need to. I'm so happy with this keyboard. The only thing that bugs me is that I used to be able to change the light mode using fn + crtl + a number, but now I can't. I did submit a ticket to Razer and they responded but I never got around to providing all the information, so I didn't get it resolved but it's no big deal as I can still change it in the desktop app.

For the first 2 months the product was fantastic, now I'm running into an issue where my w key isn't responding to normal push down pressure and I have to force it multiple times to get a w press out of the keyboard, might just be a product defect but if anyone else is having similar issues it's not a good look.2 people found this helpful

Well to start with this is NOT a UK layout keyboard even though in the Q&A the seller says it is! Lovely keyboard with still a fair amount of noise for the yellow switches, i was expecting an almost silent key press. The keyboard wil take a short time to gve used to as my previous had a large enter key and this one isnt as large and i keep pressing # and enter at the same time. Shortcut keys are a nice touch and the 3 macro buttons on the side were a surprise when i accidently pressed them. Think i will have to change the default on those for when gaming!

Really good keyboard been using for a couple months now and no problems only thing I wish it had was media buttons like pause play etc…

This keyboard is awesome the productivity you can do with this is pretty crazy, yes it costs a pretty penny but this is a keyboard that is actually worth the price.From the looks to how it feels I’d say I’m pretty damn happy with spending the money on such a fantastic keyboard

I got tired of buying cheap keyboards ever year or two, so decided I'd give this one a shot. Here is my experience so far...After you plug it in and turn on the computer, it'll find that it does not have the Synapse software, so it makes it easy to download and install. Once that happens you'll have full control over things like your macros, brightness, media controls and much more.I'm not much of a gamer, so I got the Razer BlackWidow v4 Pro with the green "clicky" keys. Now about the keys, they are illuminated and can get very bright if you want to turn them up. However you will always want to have the lights turned on... UNLESS YOU ARE A TOUCH TYPIST.There are many lighting settings, but I prefer the plain old white non changing setting. Now since the keys are illuminated, you'll never wear off the lettering like on those cheaper keyboards.The only drawback I've found so far is that this keyboard model is so new, I've been unable to find a dedicated dust cover for it anywhere.** UPDATE ** (09/30/23)I've noticed the software that controls the keyboard lighting does not as it used to before a software update. Sometimes I have to manually load the Synapse software and then close it again to get my preferred lighting. I've also noticed a little keybounce from time to time, but cannot figure out why.

Really satisfied with it. Very minor gripe might be the key sensitivity is a bit too high, so it's easy to accidentally press a key just by resting a finger above a key.The product is also a bit expensive, I recommend getting it when it gets discounted.

My son likes the mech sounds on his keyboard. This one did that and also let him set macros up. He has been using this one for several months and continues to thank us for getting it for him.

Love the feel of the keys, quality of keyboard, wrist rest, but the rotator knob at top left of kb, interferes with quickly finding escape by touch. I’m sure I’ll get used to it but for it’s frustrating to reach for the esc key and hit the knob instead.7 people found this helpful

My son loves this keyboard. He’s building his own computer and this was the gamer keyboard that he wanted. It’s just wow , has a fast forward and pause dial, I mean who creates that… it’s just wow!

Love the feel of the keys. Has pretty much every option you could want as far as extra function buttons. If you’re ok with something a little spendy then go for it.

Had every gen of Blackwidow, up until recently the V3.Upgraded to V4. Let me tell you, the quality is amazing. I play competitive CALL OF DUTY MWII and this thing slaps.What I love about Razer is they are truly the Apple of gaming gear. I purchased this keyboard to replace my Razer Huntsman V2 analog that was creating conflicts with my gamepad controller. I can honestly say that although the Black Widow lineup is supposed to be a notch under the huntsman line, this keyboard is far superior in my opinion for my needs! Outstanding quality, much better back lighting clarity and doesn't implant itself in Windows as an additional analog game controller. I no longer have gamepad conflicts in my games and so far I love this thing!!!

Very high build quality as to be expected of razer flagship but the increased macro buttons makes the keyboard abit wider than usual and that takes some time to get used to but overall amazing as usual.Good job razer!

Very nice keyboard the rgb is very bright and feels very good for gaming. Although out of the box I had connection issues where it would randomly disconnect then reconnect which was very infuriating. I had to uninstall the razer synapse software for it to stop doing that. So heads up to anyone else who buys this. Overall though excellent product.

Decided to spend a little more on a keyboard this go round after I killed my last one (which was a cheap one) by irresponsibly spilling coffee on it. I'm glad I did because this one is excellent. The colors and options you can use to game with it are great. The keys are nicely shaped to fit your fingers and the clickety clack is perfect. Not loud enough that it bothers my husband in the same room but while using it, you know its there. Easy set up. Highly recommend.

A drastic improvement over past versions. Smooth operation, bright rgb and design, heavy due to build quality, more expensive than others so may not be worth it if you aren’t utilizing the macro buttons for gaming.

I own both Black Widow V4 and Huntsman V2 Iif your are looking for looks the black widow takes the W. But feel touch and sound the 139$ Huntsman V2 is way better I probably will return the V4 and re coop the 240$3 people found this helpful

Razer mice might be absolute junk that breaks after minor use but this keyboard is an absolute unit. It might be one of few razer products that actually is worth the price!One person found this helpful

Full 100% keyboard with a few extra convenient accessories. The extra knobs are really helpful.My only complaint is that this is not a hot swappable keyboard, not unless you are willing to put in A LOT of work to unsolder the pins and LED for each switch. The switches are soldered to the board. I get this is for better and faster connection but I wish I could swap out the switches easier. I was a bit skeptical at first but this is a great keyboard for gaming. The keys are responsive and not as noisy as first thought they would be. If your a serious gamer I highly recommend the Blackwidow series keyboard.

I love this keyboard for all the nice & convenient features it has to offer. It is definitely pricey compared to others I own, but if you have the money to spend BUY THIS! The full size feel is great & I love it for all of my content editing. The linear yellow keys are definitely top tier also, great for less noise when gaming, filming or streaming & they don't pick up in your mic like the clicky ones. But in hindsight I probably didn't need the macro keys haha. but I love it. Good switches, love it for gaming & doing homework. Good response time in games which I appreciate.

This is not an inexpensive keyboard but it’s worth the price. I was using an Alienware mechanical backlite keyboard and became frustrated with the issues around the clunky and problematic command center and the cheap construction. I had to glue keys frequently as the brittle plastic on the cup connectors broke on high use keys. This Razor keyboard is very well designed the keys are solid and the keyboard is highly responsive. The Razor software is many times easier to use and intuitive. Macros and game setups are simple. The wrist support which I thought would be a ho-hum feature turned out to be very nice.I have no hesitation in recommending this product.

I like the hardware, and the LEDs are working at least for now.Updates seem to have fixed the inconsistent profile launching & glitchy GUI.Satisfied customer.

I had the Blackwidow Chroma V2 since it was first released and I loved it. I had tried many keyboards since that one came out, but I always went back to it because of how great it was. I recently wanted a more modern version of that one and was very excited when the V4 was announced. I got it and was not disappointed! Exactly like the Chroma V2 but better in everyway. Hands down the best keyboard I've ever owned. It's weighty and solid, with fantastic feel to the keys, and not too loud. The lighting is great, as is the software and the extra function keys/knobs. The only thing that irks me about this thing, and it's not even worth removing a star for, is that I can't seem to keep my color choice (fire) going when my computer is asleep. When waking up from sleep or on the lock screen, the keyboard defaults to a green color, so it doesn't match the black/red aesthetic of the rest of my build.

This is nearly perfect keyboard. I spent a long time (20+ years) trying to find which keyboard worked for me. I went through several hundreds of IBM, corsair, razer, steelseries, and logitech keyboards. Mechanical, linear, tactile, and everything else. Over the years, I've easily spent over $4000 on keyboards alone. Everything felt either too clunky, too loud, too soft, not impactful enough, cheap, overdesigned, or underdesigned.**The Good**The simplicities of this board is what make it what it is. From the side piece functionality, to the knobs, to the software. Everything has a purpose, and is optional. A modular keyboard, which allows for all the functionality a gamer would need. It has 5 standard macro buttons, 3 side panel buttons, and a fully customizable keyset. It takes up minimal space, and is made of pretty high quality material. Now, the switches... These switches are the best. Yellow mechanical are silent enough to not be click clacking, but impactful enough to really give it that feeling that you clicked something. The actuation points are on point. Lastly the brightness. This lights up my room, it's actually brighter than my computer.**The Bad**So, there are some improvements to be had.1. The lenses on the media keys should be see through, so you can see which buttons you're pressing. Not a huge deal, but none-the-less, will improve the experience.2. The cords that come with the keyboard are modular, meaning you can disconnect the cords from the keyboard. Now normally, this would good, and it does a great job at staying in. However, if you move the keyboard too much, or I'm guessing unplug and replug. The fitting will eventually ware. Even now, with a brand new keyboard, it'll disconnect sometimes in the middle of gaming. That being said, the grips on the bottom with the padding do a really good job at keeping it in place.15 people found this helpful

I bought this keyboard as an upgrade from one I've been using for 10+ years so my wife wouldn't be annoyed by my constant keyboard clacking... it's still not perfectly silent but it's better than the other one was. It's very sensitive (which is great when I'm playing games) but I have a bad habit of accidently putting too much pressure when my hands are resting when I'm typing (if I stop to think), so I have a lot of ffffffffffff to backspace over frequently. Other than that it works well. I had to disable the "side" keys because when moving the keyboard around constantly between gaming and typing and it would open up the weird screen stuff Windows 11 does with that key... other than that key's placement, no complaints.One person found this helpful

The build quality is great. The only complaint I have is that the row of macro keys on the far left throw off my touch typing (I often reach with my pinky down to the what the last key should be - ctrl, but alas there's another key there that does nothing). I remapped the macro keys to the key next to them, so when I do a misstep, it just works. I wish they made this same keyboard w/out the macro keys.

I'm not a gamer. I bought this mechanical keyboard because I work with my laptop and I needed a more comfortable way to use a keyboard. I payed a little more than usual for a keyboard because I had the opportunity to try this one before buying, and it's worth it.Recommended!

Another great product from Razer, and since all of my gear is Razer, it only made sense to go with a Razer keyboard. I have the Green switches, and I've seen a few reviews of people saying how loud the green switches are, and I can tell you from experience, they are not as loud as I was expecting them to be. Razer says these are the Gen 2 Green Switches and are supposed to be better. A friend of mine has an older Razer keyboard with green switches and his keyboard is a bit louder than mine. I guess over time the keys will feel different and may sound a bit louder, but for the time being the tactile and clicky sound and feel is acceptable. Granted, I wouldn't recommend using this keyboard in an office or a school setting, but for everyday use, this keyboard is perfect.I haven't had a chance to use the keyboard to its full potential yet, but it does come with just about everything but the kitchen sink. There are a few miner annoyances with this keyboard. First of all, the Command Dial is too close to the Esc key, I think Razer could have left a bit more room between the two buttons. Secondly, it's very easy to accidentally press the 3 macro keys on the left-hand side of the keyboard, so I have mine disabled. Someone may find 8 macro keys useful, however, I think it's a bit overkill. Last but not least, you can tune this keyboard's polling rate all the way up to 8000 Hz, but realistically speaking, there is no real-world advantage to this, so for all intents and purposes, I feel 2000 Hz of polling is adequate for most users--gamers and everyday users, alike.2 people found this helpful

I had the V2 version of this keyboard and decided I was due for an upgrade. This keyboard blows my expectations out of the water. If you are on the fence about buying it, let me be that "bad" influence and tell you to get it. You will not be disappointed.6 people found this helpful

The media could not be loaded. Keystrokes are moderate volume. 3 buttons on left side panel of keyboard. Was quick to setup after a quick restart with razer synapse installed. Tons of assignable keys and knobs available.Only real issues are that they shipped the box with no outer box (theft risk - my first one vanished before it even got to the final delivery truck) and the quality control needs work (glue on the keyboard body leading to a sticky right shift key as seen in the video.)Tried to speak with razer support on the phone but they had a default support script that was wasteful of my time as they tried to get me to use canned air or plug it into a different computer while ignoring what I was communicating about adhesive or stickiness. After asking for a supervisor they instead referred me to contact Amazon support and they were perfectly able to remedy the situation through return/reorder.That said, the keyboard seems nice enough that I'll try one last time. Here's hoping that third try is the charm. 🤷‍♂️. Minus the qc issue, it seems like a great keyboard.Update 1: Finally got my third keyboard ordered/received and this one seems to be problem free to the best of my ability to discern upon the first few minutes of use.Wrist rest is comfortable, hopefully that remains the case after the weather gets warmer.Update 2: been using the keyboard for a little while now. Compared to other keyboards the Escape key takes a little bit of time to get used to because you may be used to reaching for escape and end up hitting the command dial at first. The rolling volume knob feels pretty good once you get used to using it. I think I had orange switches last time and these feel audibly more mellow than my last keyboard thankfully. As always I use the hell out of a toggle on one of my macro keys to mute and unmute my primary microphone and I'm thankful that the five macro keys are back because of that. Haven't found myself using the keys on the side of the keyboard quite yet but we'll see if I find the purpose for them still.12 people found this helpful

I previously had a Corsair K70. I won’t dog on them too bad but, for the price of that keyboard, I would’ve expected higher quality. Instead, I kept having keycaps break during mild gaming. Ultimately, the keyboard met its death via a full cup of soda being spilled on it accidentally.Upon unboxing of this keyboard, the box itself was amazing quality and protected the keyboard despite Amazon’s AWFUL packaging with an outer box about 3x too big for this single keyboard. Excellent job on the packaging on Razer’s part.The silent keys are AMAZING compared to my clacky Corsair. These sound quiet enough that they won’t be picked up by mics with every single keystroke. THANK YOU Razer for making this an option right out of the box.The command dial is a fancy little thing that I haven’t played with much yet, but as a digital artist, I’m so stoked I was able to set it up to undo and redo things with a simple twist.The volume wheel is AMAZING quality in comparison to the one on the Corsair K70. It has stiff movement rather than being loose and too easy to accidentally change volume.The wrist rest is something I’ve never had on a previous keyboard but I LOVE it. Perfect amount of cushion.My only two complaints would be the lack of backlight on the media keys and the occasional issue with Synapse not recognizing the keyboard which messes with my personalized lighting.All in all, WELL worth the price.Note: I did replace a few keycaps for gaming purposes.One person found this helpful

I've had this keyboard for many many months, now I may not use it on a actually PC (for now). I do use it for my Xbox (for now). I love using it, the clicks are so satisfying, how the button feels is nice, I'm excited for when I get a PC that I have 6 dedicated buttons to map. It's overall awesome I would rebuy this keyboard again if I broke this one some how, beware with razor you have to be very careful with the wire/USB so if it breaks it's your fault!! There's so much you can do with this keyboard, I don't want another one!!!

I love the clicky noise it makes and is very smooth. I bought this for coding but not for gaming. The lights are pretty good too. Even though the description says it only supports Windows OS and PC, it actually works very well with Mac. The multimedia buttons are working right out of the box for me. I just chose what kind of a keyboard it is. The only downside is, the smell. Some kind of manufacturing oil is used and is giving me slight headache when I am using it. I cleaned with Clorox wipes and the smell is still there. If I have to return it, it will be for this reason. I don’t know why they should use such oils. 4 stars for that reason.One person found this helpful

I bought this keyboard because my Logitech Orion Spectrum would lose keycaps often. This one is very durable and I like the unique coloring. It seems to have a similar lighting scheme that I'm used to. I also like the way the keyboard feels when I type, a similar feeling as with the OS keyboard. Lastly I like the wrist rest that connects to the bottom of the keyboard. I would highly recommend this product.

I purchased this keyboard with the linear switches and typing on it just seems... pleasant. The standard keycaps on it feel above "Standard" and have a very nice texture. I'm an RGB geak so the underglow on a Blackwidow model is a welcome feature for sure.I'm a casual user of keyboards and I don't seek out using every feature they have to offer. With that being said, The "Command Dial" is convenient, but I honestly don't see myself using it very often.Here are the items I LOVE about this keyboard:1. High Quality very comfortable wrist rest2. Switches are transparent and reveal a lot of RGB lighting3. Premium feel keycaps4. Bonus Macro buttons5. Underglow lighting6. Media controls7. Separate detachable power cords for the keyboard and USB passthrough. Keys and feel very nice to click and material feels premium. Hardly becomes dirty and did not need to deep clean for several months. Just need the occasional compressed air blast.

Switched from Logitech G910 to the Blackwidow V4. I used the G910 for 8 years. The keybed is leagues better on the Razer. I’m very happy with how the green switches feel.Edit: Easiest keyboard to replace spacebar, backspace, shift and enter. It doesn’t have the metal cradle. It’s 3 posts instead that fit in. Excellent I work and game on the same keyboard so it HAS to feel good. It does. My complaint about the keybed is the caps lock. I LOVED how the G910 caps lock was. Slightly indented to avoid accidentally pressing it while pressing A.I was used to macros (G keys) and I’m happy Razer gives that option. I use them for nade binds; smoke, flash, molotov, etc. For Counter-StrikeI really wish it were wireless. That would be a true competitor to the G915, but I hated the G915 keybed. I’m just not into low profile keys personally.Razer please make a wireless Blackwidow with the macro keys, hot swap switches and a caps lock slightly indented like the G910. It’d sell like hotcakes.I bought mine at Best Buy but I wanted to write a review. The keybed is that good.

i bought this keyboard being skeptical of the price, but now i can tell it was worth it! the rgb is amazing and the keycaps have a really nice feel to them, Perfect for gaming and razer did an amazing job as always.

I was skeptical about getting this keyboard due to the high price. I had bought the huntsman v2 analog before this and was having buyers remorse after. I then saw a few reviews on this keyboard and wanted to try it, if I didn't like it I'd return it not a big deal.The second I pressed any key I knew this was the one, returned the huntsman v2 analog and haven't looked at any other keyboards since. The customization avaliable in this keyboard is insane and if you pair it with the viper v2 pro or deathadder v3 pro you're getting 8000 hz polling rate with the keyboard and 4000 hz with your mouse if you get the dongle.If youre hesitant due to the price, trust me when I say the investment is worth it.2 people found this helpful

This keyboard is awesome the productivity you can do with this is pretty crazy, yes it costs a pretty penny but this is a keyboard that is actually worth the price.From the looks to how it feels I’d say I’m pretty damn happy with spending the money on such a fantastic keyboard

The only reason I bought this was because my original Black Widow Chroma V2 got drenched in tea. So I go on the hunt and find out they no longer make that keyboard. I purchased two other Razer keyboards and even though they were great, nothing to me beats the Black Widow keyboards. The comfort of the wrist rest is great and it doesn't matter if I'm working, cruising the net or gaming, it's a comfortable go.I do love the color picking ability and I keep it on one color for everything and it looks awesome! You will have to be careful of the buttons on the left side of the keyboard but other than that the smoothness of typing is great. I am a very particular person when it comes to what my keyboard feels and sounds like. Yes, this is a "clicker" keyboard and I absolutely love that. The speed of typing is awesome, the response time keeps you moving, so no complaint there.The biggest complaint I have is the software. I never had a problem with it keeping my settings, starting back up after a reboot, opening up in general. I have all the buttons clicked for it to start up at boot, log in and everything, but 9 times out of 10 I have to open it back up, log in to Synapse and then it starts doing what I want. Also, I truly miss the Chroma extras of the headphone jack and usb port on the right side. This does have a usb port on the back, but you tend to forget about it because of the location.So, everything is great about this keyboard, some things take a little getting used to, like the roller wheel volume control, but like all new things it will grow on you. Is it worth the money, that all depends on your own personal preference. I broke down and spent the money because I knew I would be happy with keyboard and will last for years, as long as I don't spill tea on it.7 people found this helpful

Awesome keyboard! Keys have just the right feel to them, and are not overly noisy.Audio controls are perfect and easy to use. Nice placement of the scroll/volume.The wrist rest is one of the best I've tried, going to see if I can get a smaller sized one for my mouse.Highly recommend this keyboard to those on the fence.

The media could not be loaded. I ordered this thing renewed. Totally worth it. Saved about $80usd. Everything works no problem. The keyboard itself is a little pricy but it is packed with tons of features.The software, Razr synapse, seems to be far better developed than most other software. There is a small learning curve. I was able to get everything set up fairly easily. Macros, lighting, etc. I paired the Black Widow v4 pro with a basilisk v3 pro and man they are stunning. I found that synapse can even control the argb on my motherboard and works way better than the native motherboard software does. So, win win for me.The response on this keyboard is insane and can be set to poll at 2000. I got the green switches. I love the clicky og feel of them. They are loud. I also have a black widow mini with the yellow switches. If you don’t want all the noise, get the yellow switches. They are much quieter.The pro version does have two wires. One for the keyboard itself and one for powering the rgb. There is also a usb pass through giving you a great place to plug in your mouse dongle to take advantage of light speed tech. Allot of people complain about the two wires, but I’ve noticed most high end wired keyboards with usb pass through and rgb seem to all have them. So, I fully anticipated this and accept it.So far, while this is not a high end keyboard snob keyboard, it is high end and awesome.

I love the loud tactile keys and this keyboard has all of the extra keys for gaming... It is built well and has an amazing ARGB lighting... Expensive but worth the investment... My last Blackwidow chroma keyboard has lasted me 11 years and still works great... I would recommend this keyboard to any serious gamer :-)))

The keyboard is wonderful both for gaming and for every day use, using synapse you can make any combination of colours you want using their chroma studio. I just wish you could use more advanced features with the dial, as of writing this you cannot change what happens when you press down on the dial (it only switches modes), and the selection of things that can happen when the dial turns is also limited in the same way as the scroll wheel on your razer mouse.

This keyboard is amazing for someone who doesn’t like to make customize their keyboard and want something that looks just as good. This product has amazing customizable RGB and macro keys that make tasks easier. If you are going to buy this keyboard, know that green switches are super loud and you probably won’t like them, get the yellow switches instead.
