    Brilliant phone

I bought this as my old phone was starting to loose its battery life. Setting this up was a doddle with the smart switch, every single thing transferred over in around 20 minutes. Which is amazing as I’m not tech savvy. Watched a you tube video to get the most out of it, and I’m really glad I did as there’s so much you can do to get it running to its full potential. Battery’s brilliant, the camera is amazing and the AI is brilliant for making the most out of your pictures. The interpreter will come in handy as I spend a lot of time in Spain.Really pleased with everything and can’t fault a thing.

    Very pleased, ringer quirk

Love the phone, battery life excellent as it lasts a good two days, screen is good, it feels like a good robust phone. Sound is great, updates regularly. One slight annoyance is that if the phone is on silent and a call comes in that you miss, it turns the sound on automatically which is irritating for me personally. There may be a way to stop this that I haven’t investigated yet though. Overall v happy though.

    Lovely phone

Moved from a 2018 iPhone to an S24. All good so far. Takes time to adapt to the Android interface but I’m starting to get into it now.Apple does do some things better but Android makes up for it with more customisation. The S24 is rapid. The camera is great and the AI photo editing features are impressive.Battery life concerned me at first but then I read up that the phone learns your usage profile. It seems to gave settled down now.

Super fast and great battery life

I replaced a Galaxy 23 Ultra with this one and upgrading has been so worth it. The phone is even faster, battery life just as brilliant as the one of the 23 ultra and on top of that the new features are out of this world. I use the ‘circle it’ almost daily helps a lot. Screenshot at the swipe of the edge of my hand is so much easier and faster than using the buttons at the side. I am very happy with my purchase

(UPDATE AT BOTTOM) THIS IS A BEAUTY OF A PHONE!

(UPDATE AT BOTTOM) Okay so this is my 2nd time with the s24 ultra… the first one that I pre ordered from samsung had to be returned as the battery only lasted half a day (NO that’s not normal for the first few weeks) this must have been a battery fault. so i went to the phone shops to look at some phones (mainly the iphone 15 pro max) but i wanted something diffrent and couldnt justify paying the same price as the s24 ultra for an iphone that looks the same as my iphone 12 pro max and is older than the s24 ultra , so I thought I had to try this phone 1 more time, after all it’s such a beautiful looking phone and I couldn’t get it out of my mind , so when I saw they had a £100 off and free buds 2 pro as a promotion I jumped on it , and this time round I must say… I’m happy now. the battery is fine & the phone runs smoothly and it is fast and it’s just all round a beauty of a device!. So if your looking for a new phone and can’t be bothered with the boring look of an iPhone 15 or you just want a phone you can do so much more with customizable wise then I would 100% buy this phone , it’s not cheap but a phone is something you use every single day… just treat yourself lol !!!!(UPDATE!) 2 months in and dust from the case has damaged the titanium shell scratched all down the sides really bad because of a bit of dust , titanium frame is supposed to be more scratch resistant but I can assure you the frame quality is awful, so just a heads up , it’s not even safe in a case , never had this issue with any other phones even £100 ones!

    Perfect in every way.

Wow, the Samsung s24 ultra really is a great phone. The battery lasts almost two days with moderate use, the screen looks amazing and although it is a huge phone for my small hands it is actually comfortable to use.

An iPhone killer? Don’t think so!

I have been an iPhone user since the first iPhone more than a decade ago, and I recently upgraded from iPhone 13 Pro Max to 15 Pro Max couple of months ago. And I have been invested in to Apple eco-system for a while with apple watch ultra 2, ipad pro etc.But wanted to give a try to Android to find if all the Hype about the new AI (Artificial intelligence) linked to Goole Pixel and especially the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra was worth considering. So I bought the S 24 Ultra from Amazon. Got it delivered on the launch day on 25th January.By the way this is not my first android phone but as a standby phone I have been buying either a cheaper samsung or Oneplus or Oppo phones every now and then, and certainly not new to android. The experience with S24 ultra so far.The design is high quality, It looks a premium product. The screen is no doubt brilliant, and being slightly bigger than iPhone 15 Pro max, it looks better than 15 Pro Max. And moving between the apps is also fluid and very good. But that is where it ends for me unfortunately. When it comes to daily user experience, or the way different apps work collaboratively, iPhone software is the winner by a margin. For example I use work email which is outlook based and needs authentication every time you access it. This works without flaw on iPhone when outlook app links up with the authenticator app or the password app (Dashlane or Keeper or 1Password) fetches your password fluidly to log you in etc. This is a nightmare on S24 Ultra or any android phone which first asks you to put your finger on scanner because face unlock is not safe enough (in 21st century Samsung is still not able to match Apple !) and if you put screen protector on the S24 Ultra which I did (a very expensive one!) it doesn’t register your finger and many failed attempts. Then the Samsung and Google dictating how you must register for each separately. Then the look and feel of individual apps which seem much less refined than Apple. There is no doubt some AI stuff is worth the hype you see in all the reviews on youtube. But I tried Google apps on iPhone for similar AI features (which are practical and worth considering for most of us) and I don’t see a need. The camera: While S24 Ultra camera is very good, I will not swap it for my iPhone 15 Pro max which is far more stable and gives excellent results.Magsafe charging: S24 Ultra needs to be put flat on a wireless charger or you need to put a magsafe case on it, because it has no real magnetic grip, which is a real shame. One thing that I must give credit to S24 Ultra is the use of S Pen which is very good.Price: If I have to invest about £1200 to £1400 on a premium phone, I would certainly avoid all the media hype and go for iPhone, which is much more stable, with polished and refined software, better designed apps, stable cross-app functionality and relatively safe compared to android.Only go for S24 ultra if you want to test stuff which you can’t on iphone. For most people willing to spend in excess of £1000 on a phone, iPhone should be first consideration, mainly because the hardware and software put together work much more fluidly than android and my iPhone XS max is still working after all these years, and the original battery in that phone still showing 92% capacity. You pay premium price and you get a long lasting product. I have never sold my older iPhone, but given to other family members. These last a long time compared to android.Galaxy S24 ultra is definitely a very good phone with excellent screen and good S pen functionality. But the overall user experience as a whole package compared to an iPhone is a bit underwhelmingI am keeping my S24 ultra for the fun of using s Pen mainly and to check if my opinion changes over time. But as it stands, iPhone 15 Pro Max is a far superior product for daily use and ease of use/reliability.S24 Ultra an iPhone killer? As it is being hyped up in most youtube videos, is just for those reviewers to get more commission etc.

    Samsung S24

Great phone fast with decent battery life. It’s bigger than most phones with a great screen. Expensive and the integral pen is a bit of a gimmic maybe.

    Truly Next-gen!

I purchased this as a wee treat,to upgrade from my S21 Ultra, which is a few years old now.I have used Samsung phones for well over a decade and they are always loaded with the latest features. The S24 Ultra is no exception and is filled to the brim with next gen mobile features, primarily down to the newest inclusion, AI (although these are included on all S24 models).Probably the nicest addition for me, is that of an inbuilt S-Pen. Previously these had to be purchased separately and then a further case, that held the S-Pen was required. Now it conveniently slots into the base, much like the Note models. The cameras are top notch, with a 200x zoom on the ultra. It is noticeably heavier than it’s predecessors, but for me this is a good thing, making it feel sturdy and expensive (which it is!!)The screen is bright and works very well in sunlight, with minimal to no glare. So far I’ve had no issues. The entire contents of my S21 transferred over flawlessly in about 15 minutes using the wireless in built app. The S24 walks you through the process step by step making it a breeze. This allows you to pick up exactly where you left off with your old handset!I would highly recommend this product.

Awesome phone, just a shame it costs soooo much

I bought the S24 Ultra on the day of release (or very close). I used to own a very good mid-range phone, so this is a big jump for me. I would class myself as a techie user, so not a gamer or average user.Firstly unlike others, I did get the upgrade to 512GB without issue. I also got the £100 off directly at purchase. I also got the free 1 year of Disney and I have confirmation that I will get the watch within 45 days. However, I had to do a fair bit of research to find out how to claim the Disney and Watch. That was hard going. The phone itself is well amazing. The processing power is just a massive jump from my Motorola G100. I sheer quantity of toys is mind-blowing.The basics:The phone call quality and reliability is great, both on Bluetooth in the car and on the phone itself. I use data for maps, radio etc. all the time and this works very well (not flawlessly though). There are some fantastic automated features and smart home connectivity which I have looked at and must try.Wifi is working very well and the full phone transfer from my old phone was reasonably easy but the passwords did not come across. I spent 2 days setting everything back up. I did not realise how much I had on my phone.I use dual sim for Work and Personal use. My only grip is that you cannot totally separate these from each other. So you have to be careful when making calls and texting. I am getting to grips with it though. There is so much functionality I could probably write a book and still not cover everything.I am now learning what you can do with the S Pen, which again seems to be lots. I do like being able to simply write a quick note when you need to without having to search for a paper and pen.Battery life is amazing. I find the phone can comfortably last 2 or more days, but I am not a gamer and I do not use my phone to watch movies, nor do I sit watching tictoc or youtube on my phone.I use my phone for smart home management, email, photography, listening to music (MP3’s and radio), navigation using google maps and Android Auto, etc.The bottom line is if you can afford this phone, then I think you would be hard-pushed to be disappointed. So would I recommend this phone, well simply yes. There are no issues for me other than the jumping through hoops to get the freebies, but that is not a reflection on the phone.Oh and I would recommend a case, just be careful of the Magsafe ones, I got one and it affected the S Pen functionality. I had to return it and get a non magsaf case.

Good but some odd software decisions

Coming from a Samsung S23 Ultra, I was expecting this to offer at least the same, and sometimes more, capabilities. However, there are some things that have been taken away which make this ultimately feel like a step down. Can’t change brightness of the Always On Display. They’ve taken away a few of the navigation gestures and the ability to not display the navigation (so it’s always there). The screen protector is a bit too narrow so my finger scrapes against the edge of it each time I use a side swipe. Add a few other things, send it means I’m returning this, with an extremely heavy heart.

    This phone is awesome 😎💯

I love the size and build quality.Display is amazing.Speakers are good.Decent stereo separation.WiFi signal is strong.Battery is very decent, I get over 6 hours SOT.Cameras are flagship grade.Easy to apply screen protectors.—Mobile signal could be stronger.Speakers could have more bass.Should be cheaper since it’s Exynos. For £899 plus a watch it’s a cracking deal.I am happy with my purchase.
