iPad Mini

Pretty much my only complaints so far is the silly new charger cable and lack of a home button.

This is so handy and easy to connect to my big screen TV for my church class to play video's and pictures.

So I decided to take the plunge and buy the Mini 6, since my Ipad mini 4 battery life was not lasting as long as I'd liked. I have owned my Ipad mini 4 since 2018 and have used it primarily in the cockpit. It served it purpose and lasted a long time.I bought this right at the right time as it was $399 and I just noticed that a couple days later the price jumped up to $469.Compared to my Ipad mini 4, the speed on this bad boy is great! The battery life is also great! over 3 hours of flying with aviation apps/stratux running in the background and it was at 68%. My Ipad mini 4 was 68% after barely 1 hour of flight.There is no home "button" on the mini6 and it makes for a cleaner design. Screen is slightly bigger and although they say the image is better quality than the 4, my eyes could barely tell the difference.All in all, happy with my purchase, my main happiness comes from renewed and long battery life. I bought the 64GB which is plenty for what I use it for.Another perk of purchasing a new Ipad mini 6 was that It comes with 3 month free of Apple TV along with other free 3 month trials of Apple services.If you need to upgrade, I'd for sure buy the mini 6, just might want to wait until it goes on sale again. 3 people found this helpful

This mini is the perfect size and works as an iPad should.

I have an old iPad mini, battery life is twice as this one. However, download updated software package this one is twice the speed. I feel old iPad mini is lighter, easier to grab. Like the visual quality, the flexibility. Everything that I do on my regular iPad is all there but because it’s size I could carry it around conveniently. Love it!

I bought this ‘used’ from the Amazon warehouse. Arrived in new condition. Can’t find any kind of flaw on it. Definitely worked out since I saved a few bucks.

Having been a long-time user of the iPad Mini 5th generation, I recently made the switch to the 6th generation model and have been thoroughly impressed. My primary use for the iPad Mini is reading and streaming media, especially when traveling. Its compact size is a perfect fit for these purposes, offering enough screen space while remaining highly portable.I also purchased the Apple Pencil, which has been a great addition. It's especially useful for highlighting texts in PDFs, and the compatibility with the iPad Mini enhances my reading and note-taking experience significantly.One of the most striking changes in this new generation is the removal of the home button, which has been exchanged for additional screen space. This design alteration makes the iPad screen feel much larger than the previous generation. However, the transition hasn't been entirely smooth for me, particularly with the new touch ID integrated into the lock button. I've found it somewhat unintuitive, often locking it by accident when I mean to use the touch ID. This feature might require some getting used to, but it's a minor gripe in an otherwise excellent device.Regarding the 'jelly scrolling' issue that some users have reported, I personally haven't noticed any problems. It's possible that my usage doesn't bring out this issue, or I might just be less sensitive to it. Either way, I'm glad I didn't let these concerns stop me from upgrading.In summary, the iPad Mini 6th generation is an ideal choice for casual users like myself. I never thought I needed another tablet. My trusty 12.9" iPad Pro served me flawlessly for both work and leisure. So, when I saw the iPad mini on sale, I was skeptical. Why would I need a second iPad?Turns out, it was one of the best tech purchases I've made. While the larger iPad reigns supreme for work and multitasking, the iPad mini has become my travel companion and reading buddy. Its compact size (so much lighter, thinner, and smaller!) makes it a perfect fit for any bag, making it a breeze to bring along on any adventure. I've even retired my Kindle in favor of the iPad mini. No more awkward reading positions in bed (goodbye, painful nose-meets-iPad Pro!), and the iPad mini offers far more flexibility and functionality than the Kindle.While I wouldn't pay full price for this added convenience, finding it on sale was a no-brainer. This is my fourth iPad Mini, and probably the best of all of them. Solid feeling, strong processor, typically excellent Apple device integration. The size is still perfect for me. Seamlessly restored everything from my last iCloud backup - apps, settings, logins, everything. The only ding I can give it is the switch from a lightning connection to USB-C - old charging cables, even older lower-wattage USB-C chargers don’t work, so I need to invest in a couple of backup plugs and longer cables. No big deal, as it seems everything is switching to USB-C anyway. Just something to keep in mind if you’re upgrading from an older iPad. Otherwise, all of the bugs that had been reported earlier on appear to be resolved, so no complaints there. All in all it’s a great little tablet. 11 people found this helpful

Normally I buy my apple products directly from Apple so I was hesistant to buy on Amazon. There were no issues, my brand new iPad mini6 arrived fast and in an unopened box, perfect condition. Saved a few bucks from apple’s msrp too!As far as the mini6 goes, I love it. I have used iPads before for work but never had my own. Don’t know why I waited so long, the utility and versatility of the mini6 is fantastic. For work purposes it’s got more than enough storage and processing power. I also use it for personal use watching movies and I installed a paper feel screen protector which makes it really great for note taking and sketching. Would recommend. 5 people found this helpful

This is my third iPad. My first was an iPad Pro from 2017, second was my iPad Air 5th generation, and then this little guy. My boyfriend received my 2017 iPad from me (it still works well), and I love my iPad Air, but it’s a hassle to take it anywhere unless I have an enormous purse, or my work backpack.Hence, I bought this iPad mini during prime day (awesome deal!)I got the starlight color and 256 gb Wi-Fi only model. I decided to pay the extra $$$ to get the larger memory so that I can have the freedom to download movies and tv shows for when I don’t have Wi-Fi. Also, 64 gb is hardly enough storage nowadays, at least in my opinion.I use my iPad for reading, streaming movies/tv shows, as a planner, as a coloring book and sketchbook, and surfing the internet. I also purchased an Apple Pencil, second generation, and I purchased a Paperlike screen protector— it helps me write easier and smoother on it.I love this thing!!! It’s perfect to take literally anywhere and fits in most of my purses. I will say, battery life is subpar, especially when compared with my older iPad Pro. The 2021 iPad mini and 2022 iPad Air that I own don’t have the best battery life, but at least they charge up quickly with the included usb-c charger. I guess the newer models don’t hold a charge as long, but when I travel I bring an Anker portable battery with me, just in case.Yes… jelly scrolling is real, but not a deal breaker for me. You see it, but I don’t find it distracting at all. It only happens in portrait mode when you’re scrolling quickly, and because it’s an issue I expected, I’m not going to fuss over or complain about it.I’m planning on purchasing apple care. If you get an Apple device, there’s no reason not to get it, in my opinion. Apple will replace the iPad under warranty if something is wrong with it (not including accidents) for up to a year after original purchase, but if you don’t have Apple care and something happens after that, you’re stuck with a hefty bill. So… spend the extra coin and get apple care.This isn’t as heavy as my iPad Air, I can easily hold it in one hand, which makes it perfect for reading and watching shows. I believe it weighs about .5 lbs less than the Air or something like that.I don’t notice much of a difference between this iPad mini and my iPad Air with the M1 chip in it as far as processing power goes. It’s still fast and powerful, and can tackle anything I throw at it with ease.Delivery was okay. Amazon sent me a code to give to the Amazon driver on the day of delivery (the day after I ordered it). The driver dropped the iPad case I’d ordered on my doorstep, then left. I had to chase him down to give him the code and get my package. So a bit aggravating, but it ended up working out fine.I would definitely recommend this iPad mini to anyone who is looking for something larger than a phone, but smaller than an original sized iPad or laptop. At $399 tax free it's expensive vs last generation but new screen is nicer and set up from the older generation was fairly painless

Digital, IBM, since the beginning of all this tech.Like any electronic device the product/brand one starts with becomes the staple. This is a perfect size for the task of EFB and other aviation related items for the pointy end of the aircraft. First impression is that it will work just fine for that task. It's over priced, invasive (yes one can configure privacy) the icons are not intuitive to an IBM'r. Seems all the apps have a price attached, and plenty of ads for more Apple products and services. There are a couple free trail offers included, 90 days Apple music and Apple TV, keep your credit card handy. Plenty of slanted news pop ups, pick your direction.As far as the device, the screen resolution is excellent, the fingerprint reader (no more face scan I'm told)works perfectly, and two fingerprints can be used, well engineered item. Camera features and quality are Nikon like, very very nice. Sound output is reasonable. The mail program is clunky, the split screen widget is a pain as it slides one way and is tiny button operated the other way. With a VPN active, some of the Safari browser inquiries won't load or are rejected.There has not been any screen flicker issue, as of yet, I'd heard this was a problem? maybe resolved now??After two weeks the learning curve is finally straightening.kc12/15 update the touch screen will NOT work with gloves on....sad. 3 people found this helpful

Already have a regular sized iPad, bought the Mini for portability -- hiking, biking, etc. Obviously security is an important issue, but I deal with that by never keeping important info on a travel-pad. No bank accounts, no investment accounts, no medical info, very few passwords. So all the passcodes and finger printing and eyeball scanning and two-factor authenticating and password retrieving is an annoyance. Theoretically you can skip inputting the security features, but then you have to go through the skipping process every time Apple updates its OS, which seems to be every Tuesday. Ultimately the problem arises because many (most?) people are psychopaths who will help themselves to your info given the opportunity, so understandably Apple has to take precautions. I purchased this for a friend and set it up for him. This made me realize that I really like the iPad mini. It is tiny enough to be easily portable, magnetically works with the Apple Pencil 2, and is just perfect for content consumption and note-taking which are two things I do most on my iPad Pro. My iPad Pro does hook up to the Magic Keyboard giving me access to a keyboard when desired or needed, which is the only reason I have not replaced with the iPad mini. If I found myself no longer wanting or needing a keyboard with my iPad, this would be the iPad I would have. I use it for travel and convenience

First things first this isn't an ipad for everyone. I chose this ipad mini mainly for its portability and obvious functions of an apple product. I use it to sketch and with a much slightly bigger screen compared to the mini 5 is a plus. Lightweight, battery life is about 10 hours but that also depends on how you're using it. No headphone jack as usual, you will have to cough up some more money for the air pods or perhaps go for a third party company. There is a bit of a jelly effect. I would rate it 5 stars if it wasn't for its price tag but overall it is a good product.

Out of all the Ipad Mini 6 colors, purple was definitely my favorite, it is the most vibrant color compared to the other colors! I got this iPad to use as an all purpuse reading device, for kindle reading, webtoon reading, wattpad reading, to watch booktube, to track my yearly reading. Anything reading related will go here!!! This tablet is really fantastic. It’s light, one-hand holdable, and just works with no issues. The speakers are insanely good and the battery life also seems to be fairly good as well. I mainly use it to watch YouTube vids, listen to music, read books and manga, and make music on GarageBand. It has basically replaced my phone when I’m at home.I don’t typically like how Apple handles things, but I always give them props when it comes to their hardware and software experiences. Because they’re the manufacturer of both, their products work with no issues, and seem to have better 3rd party software support than android devices. Also, this’ll have updates for years to come. I considered purchasing a much cheaper $100 generic tablet, but I am so happy I purchased this iPad Mini. The screen quality is phenomenal, and it syncs perfectly with your Apple iPhone. Set up is a breeze as it magically mirrors your apps and settings from your Apple iPhone.

I was going to wait for the iPad mini 7 but they kept on delaying the release now saying it won’t come out until the end of the year so bought this one instead. Switched to this iPad for the navigation and gps settings for my husbands flying. He’s a pilot and it was a necessity. He loves it and it was great for the price

This iPad mini does live up to its description. Its a great tool to have use of for a teacher, and for one who gives workshops on a regular basis.

I upgraded from the iPad mini 4. My order was placed for the STARLIGHT color. What was delivered was the SPACE GRAY 256 gb cellular/wifi…. (Yes I double checked my order before placing it)Not sure how somebody/company can mess up something so basic as a color…… 😡besides the whole color issue this iPad is a significant!! 🥰

Bought for $399 on sale. I like the size after using my iPhone as my primary for years. My only gripe is that the mini seems to need a reboot every other day to get a good Internet connection. At first I was curious and OMG I LOVE IT SO MUCH but I receive THE WRONG COLOR but I LOVE PURPLE which I got a cellular version but I still like it I wish it was only Wi-Fi but what I hate is jelly scrolling which I notice it on my new device but it isn’t a huge issue and I realize they move the volume and other button on top of the left side of the power button which is Good because I like to put my finger on top of the power button kinda useful and It is FAST, POWERFUL processor, Lightweight and comfortable to hold when doing basic task and playing games, I also like how it support the SECOND GEN Apple Pencil since the first gen is a nightmare of connecting a dongle and the speaker is LOUD AND AMAZING SO GREAT PURCHASE for gamers 🤩 2 people found this helpful

Don't get suckered by the marketing. There is no Apple pencil in the box.

So I have always had android devices. My phone is the fold 5, I have the watch, and had the headphones. I absolutely hate the iPhones. MacBooks are okay but overpriced for their performance. Now the iPads are a different story. I had been looking for a smaller tablet that would hold up for longer than 3 months with regular use. There is not many options. I use this to save the videos from my DJI fpv drone. It is amazing for everything I use it for. I can edit my drone videos, watch YouTube and it look good, has WiFi6. Basically I have had no problem with this iPad and highly encourage it!

This iPad works great, even though it’s getting close to 3 years old from release. It works great with the USB-C Apple Pencil and the folio case that I got. Touch ID is good too, no problems with it. Screen refresh rate isn’t as high as the newer ones so the video isn’t as smooth, but processing power is good. GPS is reliable as well, I got it to use for aviation and it gave accurate location tracking even when just on my phone hotspot. The battery is also good, it lasts about 10 hours with moderate work use. Good product, would recommend at least until the new iPad comes out. 2 people found this helpful

I have both an iPad Air and the Mini and this is usually my goto device. Bought the Mini around release and is still sees more use than the more expensive/newer Air. Easy to fit in a smaller bag and size is perfect for reading compared to the larger model which can get tiresome to use after long periods. 2 people found this helpful

If you owned an iPad, mini or air before then you're not going to notice the Jelly scrolling. Only if you're downgrading from an iPad Pro with 120hz pro-motion will notice this. The screen didn't get any worse than previous iPads, if anything it's a bit better. The only issue I have with it is that they decided to keep the base model starting with 64GB storage instead of 128 or at least give you the option to choose the 128GB model. 19 people found this helpful

I was hesitant at first due to the size potentially being too small; however, it is absolutely perfect. Amazing to mount in the car for navigation if you do not have apple CarPlay. Super vivid display and really impressive battery life with heavy use. Wish it had facial ID, but the fingerprint works fine enough.

I use this iPad mini to compile my Zumba playlists. The sound quality is great. The battery is outstanding; I can go for quite a few days without having to recharge it! At $423.99, it was not cheap, and it didn't include a screen protector or cover (both of which I purchased separately), but I am extremely pleased with it thus far.

This is an Ipad that has been designed primarily for landscape mode (sideways)…. Just look at the placement of the speakers and side buttons. They’ve been placed strategically so that it can improve the experience when it’s viewed sideways. Portrait mode has jelly scroll issue, but landscape mode completely eliminates that.The entire experience is much more better on landscape .. i even have it locked so it never goes portrait. 3 people found this helpful

This is a nice little tablet. The screen is nice enough and it has a good processor. Battery life is not great, charging is slow and necessary most days.I hate the way Apple gouges its customers for memory and connectivity options but there is currently no viable competition for a quality tablet this size. 64gb seems to be enough storage for ebooks from Scribd and Kindle. I would have liked more memory for music and video but it was already too expensive as it is. It is the ideal size and weight for extended reading, in my humble opinion. I still use my big Samsung tablet with expandable memory a lot. I generally prefer the Android operating system. It's been about seven years since I've used an iphone and I was surprised at how similar the operating systems have become. Some are better on iPad and some are notably better on Android. Google calendar for iPad is remarkably better than Android. Instagram and Fitbit look terrible on iPad. Most apps are the same. 11 people found this helpful

This product purchased from Amazon, is no different than pitching it anywhere else. It has ample storage, is compatible with cellular data and is compact. It does require a USB-C charging cable, but it holds its charge for a long time and charges quickly. The images are vibrant and clear. One person found this helpful

Screen quality is excellent battery life, good, portability excellent due to small size and weight. Probably not the best choice for visually impaired or someone with tremors such as Parkinson’s disease, etc.

Impressive Device dose have jelly scroll and icons are pretty small which I could care less about other than that it’s perfect for a home device to replace your phone or even on the go if you want to carry it around solid 4.5 star tablet

First I will say that I wish there was an alternative, but there is no other small tablet that can compete with the iPad Mini if you want a high resolution screen, OS updates and support for many years, app availability, and performance to do just about anything without any lag (there are larger non-Apple tablets that can compete, just not 8" ones).If you are only going to watch video, read and do light web browsing and email, by all means get an inexpensive Android or Fire tablet (I have used several and they can be a great deal/value). But if you will spend time in other apps (including social media apps) you will eventually get frustrated by slow downs and jittery scrolling on those less expensive devices.I really like my Fire HD 10 tablet, and use it primarily for watching video and reading magazines, where a larger screen is helpful (and it is good enough for using most other apps without frustration), but the iPad Mini is what I find myself using and enjoying most (more than my phone, too). 16 people found this helpful

It's more complex than my previous iPad mini and difficult to setup. Had to go to apple store to get help. Still not ready to use after one month.

I use my IPad for enterteinment, form reading emails, playing videogames and watch movies, sports or series.So far... Everything is fine, the processor works very fast and the quality of the screen is much better than my previouos Ipad mini 4th.

Most of the things we use an iPad mini for don't require blistering chip speeds. We choose the mini for portability, and overall ease that comes with a convenient size screen and footprint. It's easy to hold for note taking, fits in a small bag or large pocket, etc. Just as we now use our phones for cameras because they're with us instead of lugging a camera around, this iPad is much more likely to go with us, even around the house, than would larger versions. The mini is ultra portable, larger than our phone screens, but more compact than regular size iPads. If simplifying life works for you, this will, too! One person found this helpful

Light as a feather, works like a charm and gets the job done. I have had many Apple devices over the years and the iPad Mini 6 is by far my favorite … good things do come in small packages … well worth the purchase!

I can say in great detail this iPad could literally be for anyone whether you're 20 years old five years old or even 50 years old that's how simple and easy it is to use as well as to set up for anyone of any ages. I personally use this iPad for myself to watch television when I don't feel like using my big TV, but I also know a friend as well that has it for her son and she loves it because it's so much smaller and he's able to have basically his own phone at all times super worth the money One person found this helpful

If you're an Apple person, this Apple IPad mini doesn't disappoint.

Love it it’s great for fun

A huge performance upgrade over my Mini 2.But, the screen isn’t really noticeably nicer. The new Mini is heavier and thicker. You cannoti use lightning ear buds, and it was crazy expensive compared to the full size iPad.It’s a shame that the smaller mini costs more than the full size iPad, but that smaller tablet is the perfect size.

Love this iPad mini 6. I like to play the old angry birds and where's my water games and they were not supported well on android. This iPad also supports all my Google apps and Nest and home apps. Even accepts Amazon Kindle app. The tablet is very responsive. It's everything I want in a small tablet.

just what i was looking for

I use this iPad mini to compile my Zumba playlists. The sound quality is great. The battery is outstanding; I can go for quite a few days without having to recharge it! At $423.99, it was not cheap, and it didn't include a screen protector or cover (both of which I purchased separately), but I am extremely pleased with it thus far.

I love the size and the use I get out of it is exactly what it was intended for. I use it mostly for taking notes in school and studying and it for the most part has replaced all my note-taking on actual paper. However, the screen is not as bright as I'd like. The lights in my class are super bright and I have to adjust my angles often just to see what I'm reading/writing on the screen. It could be my eyes, but I think a brighter screen would still help. Also there is no mute switch. This might not be an issue for most people but for me, this being my first ipad and being an iphone user, I'm so use to having it there. Everyone can hear when I'm typing with it in the library (probably just me overthinking) but I'm sure I can adjust that in the settings. Just kinda inconvenient. The IPAD work good except I didn't realize it doesn't have the capability to add data. It doesn't work with OSMO which is what my granddaughter want to use it with. I'm wondering if it's because the IPAD doesn't have data. One person found this helpful

I like that it’s small and fast. Hard to find cases for it so if you buy a mini good luck.

I bought this for my toddler and i use it more for browsing and reading kindle. On average i do about 50/50 for reading books on a device than hardcopy. Night-mode helps alot. Having pro, this is much more comfortable and easier to read on and use for everyday general purpose. I use my pro for more heavy work and investment research etc. Form factor for gaming this is wY better than the pro, especially if u are used to gaming on a switch. The only downfall is the battery. You will have to charge it every day. In some ways i wish it had wireless charging

Really cool little thing, it’s so small when compared to my m2 iPad Pro 11 inch, nice and bright screen, it’s seems like an mini iPad Pro, I personally don’t notice the difference between 120htz & 60htz in the iPads or on my iPhone that is also 60htz but some might, whatever I can do on my pro model I can do on this, but my pro is way to big to pull out on public transportation, I’m low-key and don’t want all eyes on me, and this mini is good at that, I hope anyway, I like playing games & they do contests and events with time frames all the time and I can finish some up while on my travel time, I can do this on my phone but the words on the screen don’t always zoom in and can be extremely small and hard to view what the tasks call for, this iPad mini helps with that, I totally didn’t need this but I got it anyway, the small size does take some getting used to when coming from a bigger iPad or tablet but it don’t take very long, btw it’s great for streaming tv shows, battery life is good enough, the Amazon box came well packaged and iPad itself came sealed the way Apple does it, with around 76% battery life, so nothing was amiss, I remembered this time to smell the inside of box the way some YouTubers do, and still don’t get it, anywho definitely would recommend to anyone wanting this mini iPad 18 people found this helpful

Reliable companion while Flying through the Clouds. With Foreflight, use it for my Charts, Maps, Routes, Electronics Checklist, plus taking notes & clearances with my Apple Pencil. After I'm done flying is very easy to relax with a movie or some reading. New, bigger screen is just what I needed and I got it! Love the size. For me it was a little difficult to set up. Needs WIFI as it doesn’t have cellular data. Was very disappointed in that.

The first thing that impressed me about the Ipad mini is the weight and how it feels to hold it in one hand. You can feel the quality of this device.I watched some yt videos on sums con's, there's one main one that may be fixed or improved in settings but I gotta play around with it. The issue is, scrolling with the ipad mini facing upwards in your hand and not sideways.The frames seem a bit choppy and not smooth. This could be due to particular screen features that limit its smoothness. However, holding the mini sideways and scrolling, it's super smooth and clean. Other than that, I like the product and I'm happy to own one.I have had ipads in the past, I always thought I wanted the 12inch. But tbh, I immediately can see now that the 12inch can be in the way. Like too much hassle to carry around. It may be a convenience in certain areas depending on what you plan to do with it, but if you just want something simple, the mini is the best option. Even more so over the typical ipad size. Which is not much of a hassle compared to the 12inch but compared to the mini, it feels good to carry the mini around in any circumstance.Give the mini a try, if you don't like it, send it back an getcho monies back for a preferred size. 17 people found this helpful

It has great battery life my only two concerns are the screen glare and the price was supposed to be for the 256g but I received the 64. The 64g was cheaper from other sellers

Was t sure on the refurbished aspect, but the iPad mini has been great. A slight scratch at the top of the screen, but hardly noticeable. Everything else worked great and the price helped make it worth it. I’ve started to buy more refurbished products through Amazon now after this experience.I have had one not good experience and still waiting on the refund, but overall this has been a great way to get quality products at a reduced price.

First let me tell you I was hesitant about buying an iPad Mini. I even considered buying an iPad Pro: I have had two 9.7" iPads (series 4 and series 6) so I thought I would miss a larger screen. Turns out, I didn't. I will give you a few hints on what to expect with this device:Pros:* Higher resolution: One of the main factors that led me to buy this tiny beast was the screen resolution (319 ppi), which is higher than any other iPad's resolution. I highlight this feature because I use my iPad primarily to read and watch IT videos.* Portability (it's really lightweight! You will be astounded when you pick one of these)* Size (You can hold the whole device with one hand while writing with the other, something unthinkable in larger iPads).* Battery life (Discharge rate: about 5% / hour when playing videos; Charge rate: about 10% / 14 min)* TouchID (Very convenient, and it recognizes the fingerprint very quickly)* Stereo speakers (they sound really good!)* Apple Pencil support (When paired with an Apple pencil, it's a breeze. I'm using a note-taking application that allows me to use my iPad as a small notebook. It made me wish I had done this while I was still studying).* Three months of Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and Apple Music (Apple gives you three months of Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and Apple Music by only purchasing the device. So I'm enjoying a series in Apple TV+ "For all mankind" and it really looks great in this screen. I'm planning to watch other productions during these three months).Cons:* No silent mode switch (I use teh control center to lower the volume when needed)* No FaceID (I use the TouchID and it's very convenient and fast)* No raise to wake (I gently double tap the screen to wake it up).* No Promotion (There is no workaround to this. The device has a standard 60hz screen, so you will have to decide if you accept it or not)* Some users report sort of a "jelly effect" in the screen when you fast scroll the screen. I haven't noticed anything similar to this behavior in any direction (up, down in vertical nor portrait mode).A word of advice about storage:* If you're thinking about this device, go for the 256 GB one. That was my selection, and I'm glad I did it, because after only one week of usage, I have already used 35 GB of storage. Had I selected the 64 GB version, I would be worried about the storage already.Conclusion:The iPad mini lacks some features its bigger brothers have, but despite this fact, this is totally a great device. If you can sacrifice those features in favor of portability (or you find a way to sort them, as I did), you won't regret. Hopefully we will be able to see an "iPad Pro Mini" in the future (I hope Apple folks read this review someday), but for now, I'm very happy with this purchase. Still getting used to the screen controls but enjoying it. My newspapers decided they couldn’t afford paper anymore, so I needed a device to read them electronically at the table with my morning coffee. The size is just about perfect. A little difficult to get the page adjusted to see all the print columns side to side, but it helps me imagine I’m still reading my papers. Old school I know, but hey, I’m an old dog. Image clarity is quite good. Can also see my morning messages and emails without lugging around my laptop from my study. One person found this helpful

The media could not be loaded. On January 3rd, I upgraded from an iPad Air 2 and loved the size of the mini. Unfortunately, I didn't see the small chip in the screen until I got new contacts and was about to apply a Paperlike cover. It's not possible for the damage to have occurred as I've never taken the iPad out of the home, nor have I dropped it or damaged it in any way. Hoping Amazon will allow a return/exchange beyond the 15-day window. One person found this helpful

Well it’s apple.. so make you bleed to pay for it. Of course it works. The iPad mini i don’t think I would buy it again. It is not formatted correctly for the screen and sometimes can strain your eyes. Stick with the larger ones with everything optimized for the screen the mini just doesn’t feel finished to me like my pro does. It needs work. The only thing I impressed with is the battery life it was about same as promised versus the Apple Watch 7 I have that drains in 3/4 of a day 7 people found this helpful

This little thing is great. I use it for reading music while playing gigs, note taking for work, and watching content. Battery life is good, not incredible but gets me through the day. The screen could be improved, hopefully Gen 2 gets 120Hz refresh rate. Pair it with an Apple Pencil and you’re golden. Only downside is the screen truthfully. One person found this helpful

I have an iPad Pro, but found it’s too big and hurt my wrist holding it. This iPad mini is the perfect size for me. I can use it for extended periods of time without my wrist aching. I bought the second generation pencil too and it’s great. The magnet holds the pencil tightly and charges it when not in use.

It’s just a replica of my iPhone 11 not really many features I’ve discovered yet. I’m waiting for my pencil to come in and put it to the real test

Love this iPad, almost without issue.I give the iPad 5⭐ as it relates to visual, performance, speed, processor, storage, etc.Only 2 ⭐ when it comes to the battery. It depletes SO FAST, and takes FOREVER to charge.My old 2nd Gen iPad lasted me a week or more under the same use as this one, and charged within a few hours.This iPad, of I use it consistently, is dead within 3 days, and even at almost 40% charged before going to bed, dies by 3am if using nothing more than a white noise app. Then takes 5+ hours to fully charge. Pretty ridiculous for such high tech technology.Overall, still pleased with the iPad. Just have realistic expectations with this pathetic battery. 8 people found this helpful

The media could not be loaded. I bought this item in the color pink but did not receive the color I purchased. Everything else is correct with the product up to and including memory. As you can see in the pictures attached, it is more like a faded purple color than pink. My old iPad is Rose Gold and side by side, you can truly tell the difference. Purple is my favorite color; though I wanted my iPad to match my MacBook, but I did not want to deal with the hassle of returning it. Before buying, I saw that a few people also had this issue, but with the price being better than most places at the time, I still decided to buy. Although I'd forgotten I'd ordered a "refurbished" iPad, I'm happy with it anyway. As I'm not tech savvy, I had granddaughter set it up for me. Too bad I didn't gather password info first. :-) I'd bought my first iPad from a friend, another iPad mini and I liked it a lot and used it a lot. I'd saved the case from hers but ordered one here anyway and it's wonderful, mainly because the pencil sticks to it.

Okay, I admit it, I still own and use my iPad mini 2nd generation device but unfortunately these days many of my apps are demanding the latest version of Apple iOS in order to receive updates, so even after reading mixed reviews for this mini, I decided to order one. My first impressions of this new 6th generation mini are favorable. The first thing I noticed the first time I booted it up is that this mini enjoys a colorful and responsive screen with less bezel and more screen. This generation iPad mini comes in 4 beautiful case color choices. I picked Starlight and I'm happy with my color choice. I'll spare you my rambling views on each feature of this new mini because you can read about them in the many reviews already published here. I only gave this mini 4 stars because I feel Apple could easily have given us more with this generation. A 90 Hz screen option would have been nice or a longer lasting battery. I would also have liked a ram choice with 128 Gb of storage. On the plus side, I really like the look and feel of this new iPad. As expected, it boots and loads apps quicker and scrolls screens faster than my trusty old iPad mini 2 but it doesn't scroll them as effortlessly fast as I was expecting. Of note, so far, I haven't noticed the jelly scrolling problem so many have complained about. The bottom line is, I'm happy that I now have a mini that accepts the latest Apple iOS and can update all of my old and new apps without a problem. If you're interested in upgrading a very old iPad mini, I'd say go for it because you never know how long you might have to wait for Apple to grace us with the next generation mini. 16 people found this helpful

Coming from someone that has 2 other apple products (Apple Watch and iPhone), I was already expecting fantastic-ness as soon as I placed the order. This iPad is really cute and small, almost like a kindle, and the home bar just adds to the aesthetic, unlike the home button on previous models. Setup is smooth as usual and the unboxing process was so crisp and satisfying!!!I totally recommend!!

It runs out of battery much faster than my IPAD 6th gen. However, the anti-reflective screen does make my eyes feel better.

Great Apple product as usual

I recently purchased the most updated Kindle reader. I was so unhappy with it. It was like something out of the Stone Age in comparison to the iPad mini. The kindle reader would only let me read certain Bible versions. I immediately gave it away as a gift and ordered the new iPad mini. it was a couple of hundred dollars more money, but absolutely worth it. I can download my Bible apps, see everything in color, and even make and receive phone calls from it as I’m reading. I would definitely recommend spending the extra money, and getting an iPad mini over the Kindle reader .

I really like this iPad mini, it charges fast, battery life last a good long time. I love the fact to set this iPad up I only needed to set it next to my old iPad and everything transferred, I was pretty amazed. The color is great, it downloads quickly and its pretty lightweight. Its easier to carry in my purse, than my old pad. I am not real tech savvy and I only use a few programs, mostly for Bible Study and playing games. I don't like that there is no where to plug in my headphones. I guess get I could get earbuds but I am a lil old fashion. All-N-All I like my new toy! One person found this helpful

Look at the end of the day is if you have an apple iPhone, and Apple Watch AirTags and now and iPad they all work together flawlessly. That’s the thing once you start off getting an apple phone, the rest should be Apple. They really marketed themselves really well there and all the products interlocked with each other Very well so the iPad works just like my MacBook if I’m on a call on my iPhone I could easily switch it to my Apple Watch to my iPad to my MacBook. It all works out so if you have any of the Apple products get this it’s a must disability of it Compared to some android devices much better it’s fast it works like your phone. Bought the 256GB model because my old mini 4 (128GB) had nearly 60GB of material on it, figured the additional storage would give the tablet a longer useful life. I know about jelly scroll, and I honestly haven't noticed it, in either landscape or portrait mode. Love the current 'squared edge' design of Apple's tablets and phones, so this feels good in my hands. Processor is fast, sound is improved - though I wish I'd bought a case that redirected the sound from the edge to the front. It's nice to have speakers on opposite edges when watching videos, but makes it more complicated to 'bounce' the sound with your hands (or a cereal box while eating breakfast).Don't have nor want an Apple Pencil, so can't speak to that capability of the mini.So if I like it so much, why only 4 stars? The price. I knew what I was getting, and what I was paying, of course, and even though I found it for fifty bucks off list price, I still feel like it's overpriced by at least a hundred dollars. 2 people found this helpful

Apple has the small 8 inch tablet market all to itself. Samsung seems to have given up the ghost on the crystal clear, small and exceedingly portable tablet market. The funny thing is that I had a Samsung tablet with a beautiful amoled screen which lasted for 5 years. When it died, I thought replacing it would be easy. Not so fast. The Samsung alternative did not cut it in the screen dept. Hence, I was forced to shell out the big bucks to Apple. What a shame.

Great but the screen isn’t bright enough

I’ve owned ALL generations of WiFi only iPad Minis so I guess this is the first time I’m experiencing a really major change to a device I’ve been using for several hours each and every day for approx the past 8+ years. This change takes some getting used to.My spouse and I both have iPhones and iPads so we have lightning connector cables scattered all over the house and the cars. In comes the USB-C equipped device which means I have to get appropriate cables for strategic locations where I would need it. I suppose in several years when all our Apple devices get updated to USB-C this would no longer be a problem. Also good that the battery capacity is remarkably better on the mini 6 so less need for plugging it in often.The display is quite stunning. A definite improvement over the old one. I like the ability to display smaller icons, it helps me find things a bit easier. The fingerprint sensor location is not yet intuitive as I tend to tap the keypad instead to turn on the device. The processor appears noticeably quicker (but not by much).It’s been about 2 years since my last update to a new device (iPad mini 5) and i’ve forgotten how “painful” the process is, particularly since I have a good number of apps that I use. Logging in to each and every one of them just takes time to get everything working seamlessly again.Overall the 6 appears to be a substantial upgrade and worth the wait although I consider the mini 5 still holding its own against the 6. 38 people found this helpful

This mini is great - except be aware that if you need to do a return it could be challenging to say the least. I had to return mine to Amazon due to a price reduction that became available to me. Amazon does not give credit for price reductions. You have to return the item. (So I bought another duplicate)My return started off perfectly. But once the iPad ( properly packaged and picked up from my house) hit the UPS/Amazon retrun warehouse in Las Vegas ...it disappeared.Just like that it was gone! No matter what I did or said Amazon would not give me a refund because "they did not receive it". All the proof that it arrived at the return warehouse (UPS/Amazon) did not matter.I spent an agonizing month trying to get help from Amazon and UPS. No one could help me. No refund was coming my way even though I had sent the iPad back.I finally contacted my credit card company and thankfully that got the ball rolling. A refund was properly issued. All of this took over a month, and many calls/emails to UPS/Amazon.The mini is very nice ( the one I bought at a better price) but I have experienced a frustrating problem with the mail app. Apple support by phone did not help even though at least four Apple 'support' people tried. I finally went to an Apple store 'genius' who recommended I wipe my iPad clean. Starting over fresh allowed the mail app to finally work.I'm hoping that all of the problems during the past 5 months are behind me! Since the grandkids are using iPads in grade school we thought it was time for them to have their own. It’s been great so far. Getting messages and pictures and FaceTime from them is really wonderful since they live quite a distance away from us. Their parents agree that having their own tablets is helpful when having to do homework and just keeping abreast of technology that is very definitely part of their future lives. Of course parental controls are in place to help prevent them from accessing nefarious activities and information. Love having the opportunity for spontaneous conversations and contact with them. I decided to treat myself to the best eight inch tablet to replace three other devices, my Kindle reader, a six inch smart phone and an older eight inch Android tablet.The specs said "cellular enabled" which I assumed included use as a phone.Wrong, no tablets are phone enabled even though they have the hardware to connect to a cellular network.The largest smart phones are less than seven inches, which I find are are too small for Web browsing.I am spoilt with a hi res twenty four inch monitor on my desktop.So, I returned the iPad mini.Why no tablets with direct phone dialing? Agreement among manufacturers? US FCC rules?

The iPad is my favorite accessibility tool. My 12.9" iPad Pros (one for work, one for home) are my go-to tools all day long. Being visually-impaired, they're a godsend. But, they're also heavy, and a bit clumsy in some cases. As a magnifier, for example.For years I've been using an old 2017 10.5" iPad Pro as a magnifier and general-use tool on my workbench. However, it was getting slow and cranky, plus the battery was losing charge pretty quickly. I decided to replace it with this iPad mini, since compared to most dedicated accessibility tools, it's rather inexpensive.It turned out to be a good choice. The camera is sharp, and the form factor makes it easy to get into cramped spaces. Not to mention it's light: at half the weight of my iPad Pro, I almost tossed it in the air the first time I used it.What came as a surprise is how much I turn to it for other needs. It's nice to use sitting on the couch and having VoiceOver read news stories to me, or to have text conversations with friends, etc. Because it has a decent A15 SoC, it doesn't lag when doing VoiceOver. Great as expected

Me gustó mucho usarlo para ver videos y películas, para toma de notas con el Apple Pencil quizás es algo pequeño para mis manos.

Produto original, lacrado, chegou antes do prazo, bem embalado e sem avarias. O produto é super leve, fácil de carregar na bolsa, a bateria dura o dia todo no uso contínuo, mas se vc usar pouco dura mais. A câmera é bem básica, mas não era meu objetivo na compra One person found this helpful

I love it, the transportability plus the process power makes me feel so good

I bought an iPad mini-2 quite a few years ago and loved it. I was waiting for a new version to come out in 2022, 2023, 2024… But I gave up waiting because I wanted a higher iOS in order to use the device more fully. So I bought the iPad mini-6, the 2021 product. It is capable of a whole lot more than the mini-2, so I’m not running to my PC as often.
